Clint Samples is an Associate Professor and the Assistant Chair for the Department of Art at the University of West Georgia. In 1998, he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Painting) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Art Education) from the University of West Georgia in 1996.

Clint’s artwork has been accepted to numerous juried exhibitions both regionally and nationally and he has won awards at each level. In 2010, he received one of five UWG College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Teaching Awards. In 2013, he helped lead the UWG Department of Art through a successful NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design) accreditation visit and in 2011 he lead Foundations faculty when UWG hosted ifs first ever F.A.T.E. (Foundations in Art: Theory and Education) regional forum. The event was called "Connecting the Dots: Creating an Innovative Foundations Program that Works" and over 40 faculty from various schools across the southeast attended.

Prior to teaching, Clint worked for 6 years as a Textile Designer for Milliken & Company in LaGrange, Georgia where he worked with designers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. At Milliken, Clint was part of a design team that won several outstanding achievement awards for product design geared towards the Education and Healthcare markets. His textile designs have been featured in publications like Architectural Record and Healthcare Design.
